More Mo Pictures

Mom's trip to Missouri provided ample photo ops. Now back safe and sound in Virginia, Max is already waxing nostalgic about the visit. Below are some favorite moments (also check out his visit with the Neumeyers, mom's dear college friends, and their super cute baby, Landon).

The "cute" gene seems to run in the family. Here is Max with all of his girl cousins.

All in the Family

The question has come up a lot... Who does Max look like?

A little of Dad, a little of Mom. Here are some old baby pictures of his Papa (pronounced "pah-paw"), and we could see some family resemblance! (The picture to the left was taken when he was over a year old, and the shot below is nine months.)

Week 25 - A Million Hugs and Kisses

Max was off to Missouri to visit Mom's family and attend his cousin's graduation from high school (he has a long ways to go to catch up!). He was gobbled up by his Mama (mah-maw), Papa (pah-paw), aunts, an uncle, and all of his cousins.

Week 23 - Mom's Day

As a gift to Mom on her first Mother's Day, Max took a daytime nap for the first time in his crib. She was hopes it is not the last time it happens! (Dad also snuck out early Sunday morning to get some flowers and a card ... awwww.)
The engraved necklace that Mom picked out arrived later in the week.
On Saturday, Max and Dad also indulged Mom's desire to take lots of pictures... but not before they had a serious nap.

Week 22 - First Day at Daycare

** FIRST NEWS ALERT **
May 4: First roll from back to stomach.
May 5: First day in daycare.
.
The day that Mom dreaded had finally arrived... Max's first stint in daycare. She dressed him for the occasion (a onesie emblazoned with "little tough guy" as a psychological boost, probably more for her than him) and sent him on his way with Daddy a little after 8.30 am.
.
"Did someone say DAYCARE?!"
Lookin' good for the ladies...
"As long as I have my thumb, I'll be okay."
Daycare emailed Mom and Dad a picture of Max sleeping, for which Mom (who was working at home, trying to keep distracted with student-level databases and IES reports) was eternally grateful. Dad checked up on the little guy around lunchtime and found him alive and well (although sans pants).

Max seemed to enjoy his time in the bouncy contraption (photos courtesy of the daycare). Mom hopes that studies showing delays in walking for kids who spend considerable time in these devices don't hold true for Mighty Max!

Week 22 - The Leaning Tower of Max

Earlier this week, it was trying to master Sippy the Cup. Today, he is "sitting"! (With an anxious mom hovering to ensure he doesn't crash and burn.) Yes, indeed, our Max is growing by leaps and bounds - and looking totally adorable doing it. And to think, he's just shy of five months (he'll mark that occasion on May 4).

We may replace this video with a better quality one over the weekend. It's a while before the action gets rolling because it takes Mom some time to disentangle her hair from Max's grasp. But when he lets go, voila!
