Our New Tool Store

We've been cheating on Home Depot and visiting Lowes on the sly over the past few weekends. Today we arrived for their Saturday morning kid workshop (which is held every other Saturday as opposed to HD's once a month deal), but it proved too popular and they had no projects left by the time we arrived. Max was sad not to have his red firetruck project, but he made do with their lawn mowers!

A very happy Max finishing off a milk shake at Chik-fil-a as a consolation prize.
After a busy day of Lowes, Kohls (thanks, Amy!), and grocery shopping, Wyatt was more than ready for bath time.

9-Month Stats

In case anyone is keeping track, our little linebacker turned 9-months last weekend.

Weight: 22 lbs, 5 oz. (80th percentile)
Height: 29.5 inches (85th percentile)
H.C.: 18.5 inches (90th percentile)

At this pace, Wyatt will have no problem holding his own ground with Max! Until we have more pictures, enjoythe ones below.

I Love U

When Max was a baby, Mom wondered when he would throw his arms around her and say those sweet words. Although she's not sure when it happened unprompted for the first time, he now does it on a regular basis and it never fails to melt her heart. Take last evening for example. She was leaning down to get Wyatt from his carseat when she was nearly knocked over by Max, who ran up and hugged her from behind (throwing the whole weight of his two-and-three-quarters-of-a-year-old body against her), saying, "I love you, Mommy!" Followed by "I like you, I like you, Mommy." (which, if you think about it, is even more endearing. You're kind of obligated to love your family, but "liking" them is a special kind of love). Then this morning, he patted Dad's face matter-of-factly and proclaimed, "I love you, Daddy."

And we love you, Max. To the moon and back.
