June was a busy "big boy" month for Max. Soon after his last t-ball practice, Max's first bike arrived. He wasted no time putting it to the Max-test. After a just two spins around the neighborhood, he declared, "I don't think I need these anymore," referring to the training wheels (oh little does he know! He thinks it's normal to be able to stop the bike completely and stay upright with both feet on the pedals). Oh, and he got his first poster for his room - Iron Man 3, of course.
Rockets and robots and water balloons and tractors and bubbles and trains. These are what our little boys are made of. And they have made our lives so amazing.

Summertime Clues
What says "summertime" better than s'mores, baseball games, and sprinklers? Oh yeah, ice cream too. And for the discerning eye - yes, we brought the fire pit inside our covered patio because of the rain. Smart? Probably not, but that's dedication - s'mores, rain or shine.

Max "I am Speed" and Pigpen
Max is fast. And Wyatt... well, was very dirty at Max's t-ball practice. The kind of dirty that you sort of wished car seats weren't legally required and you could just roll him up in a tarp for the trip home. Once home (yes, we used the car seat), on went the hose and off came the layers of orange-y brown dust.

Home Sweet Depot
The June Kid's Workshop at Home Depot was the best yet. Not just because they had face-painting AND we were the first in line, but also because Grandma Texas was there to lend a hand. So after the boys got their matching Spiderman "tats," they went to work at building a lawnmower pencil holder (Of course, a lawnmower pencil holder! What else would it be?). Once home, Max and Dad set up the planter that Dad built - Max's first gardening experience (and quite possibly Dad's too, but he still wouldn't take advice from a farm girl). The day was topped off with some time in the kiddie pool and stories with Grandma. That's a tough Saturday to beat.
