Spidey-Brothers

"Spiderman Spiderman, does whatever a spider can" is a frequent refrain in our house, and YouTube videos of the song make nightly appearances after bathtime (although videos of Ironman's escapades and AC/DC music video of helicopters are strong contenders). Max is going through a "nothing but Spiderman pajamas" phase (which is kind of difficult since he has only one pair of Spidey's PJs). The bedtime ritual involves Max trying to climb the walls (see below), and Wyatt shooting pretend webs from his hands as they bounce up and down the bed to the theme song. Mom is kind of experiencing a brand-new second childhood of Spiderman and Hot Rods. Very cool.

We decided that Max's hair was getting scruffy enough and gave him an at-home buzz cut to match his brother.

From Baby to Buzz Cut

In a matter of seconds, Wyatt went from sporting whispy angel curls to a tough-guy buzz cut, when he had his first haircut on December 30 (yes, his first haircut at two years of age!). And with that, "Baby Wyatt"  (as Max calls him) was no more. In his place was a little dude who seemed more independent and even a few inches taller. But Mom still calls him "baby" sometimes, partially out of habit and partially to hold on, just a little longer.
Being reassured by Dad just before taking the plunge.

Where did my baby go?!
So it wasn't entirely smooth sailing - there were a couple of moments of "get me outta here!"
