Blue-Eyed Boys

Both boys definitely inherited the color of their eyes from Dad.

Like father, like sons.

With Wyatt in the carrier, Dad's hands are free to chase Max down and give him a tickle attack.

Something outside quickly caught Max's attention after he woke up from his nap...

Although you can only see one in the picture below, there were five young deer in the back yard.
And where was Wyatt amid all the Disney-animal excitement? Why, working hard at being a baby, of course!

Bedtime Mania

Bedtimes are the most chaotic times in our newly expanded household. Wyatt is usually fussy and needs lots of bouncing to get to sleep. Max is usually hyper-active after his bath and in no mood to hit the hay. But somehow, with lots of effort and patience, we manage to get the kids to sleep.

Max's patented dance move. Watch out, ladies!

The "Joys" of Home Ownership

We discovered water on our basement utility room floor due to a backed-up drain. Dad was able to snake the drain the next day (thank you!), but Handy Max was not allowed to "help" with this task.

Tough Goodbyes

It's great to see Max's imagination develop. From playing with "Baby" (see below) to pretending his blocks are binoculars, he's fun to watch.

Committed to fighting wetness everywhere, Max has been promoted from Mighty Max to Captain Crunchy Pants.
Unlike his big brother, Wyatt loves his baths. Getting him out, dried, and dressed is another story.

Max getting tickles from Mama.

On Mama and Papa's last night, the boys were on their "best" behavior (which for Max meant running around like the crazy two-year old he is).

Papa getting Max into his pajamas.

The days went by too fast, and it was time for the grandparents to make the long drive back to Missouri. :( We miss you and look forward to the next visit!

Up, Up, and Away!

We hit the National Air and Space Museum Annex during the grandparents' visit. Max gave it two thumbs up!

No More Baby Curls for Max

After two years and two months, Max finally got his first official haircut. Gone are those beautiful baby curls! But Max looks good, hair or no hair. He did surprisingly well, sitting in Papa's lap, although he was fairly apprehensive-looking throughout the whole process.

"All done!" and safe in Dad's arms.

One of the "guys" now.
But he's still Mom's "baby"...

A big day - not just a first haircut, but also a first sucker! (a blue one, as you can deduce from the following pictures)

Max and Dad covered up their 'dos at the Cheesecake Factory. It looks like we're raising a little gang-banger.
