BIG Boy Bed

A new (and undesired) nightly ritual started to take root a month ago: Max kept insisting on sleeping on the couch. And not just a couch - it had to be transformed into a tent. After a couple of weeks of doing this and moving a heavy 3-year old at midnight to his room, we upgraded his toddler bed to an Ikea canopy/bunk bed. He's still too little for the bunk bed conversion but at least he's happy enough to stay in his room. At least when he has Mom or Dad for company!

A Thousand Bedtime Stories

I'm certain we've long passed the 1,000 mark for the boys' bedtime stories, but in case we hadn't, Mama and Papa's visit this month put us over the top for sure. Max would keep bringing in book after book after book. And of course, they would indulge him, no matter how many times he wanted the same story again and again.
Unlike Dad, Papa would carefully read the Home Depot instructions for their kids' workshop.

In the above picture, you can see the cut to the eyebrow that Wyatt sustained during his bath time with Dad. The dangers of being a toddler!

Say Cheese

I've kind of given up on getting good pictures of both boys together. Blurry shots, one half out of the frame, one or both crying (even with promises of cookies). Even a professional photographer at daycare couldn't quite manage it either (but the results are pretty funny). So further below are some safe solo shots of the boys.

Leap Year

The lack of blog posts in February should not be interpreted as a "slow news" month - quite the opposite. Keeping up with two very active, growing boys consumes every waking minute, particularly now that Wyatt is officially a toddler, toddling up and down the hallways, stairs, and any furniture that he can lift his leg up to. This also means that Wyatt and Max are interacting more and more, which is great... and bad, when frustration escalates to pushing (from Max) and biting (from Wyatt). But they're brothers, through thick and thin.

Daddy's little helper.

At the Frying Pan Park yet again - in a very mild February.

Wyatt has long graduated from the "monster walk" (as seen above, where he would raise his arms high to balance himself) and is now making lickety-split dashes around the house.
Tuesday and Thursday nights are "Mommy's Bed" nights for Max.
