Month 22, Day 27: Candy Raid!

While we didn't top the "Mighty Max" costume from last year, Max's second Halloween was a family affair. Although - instead of looking like Army special forces - we came off more like ragtag militia. Nonetheless, we conducted a series of successful candy raids on our soon-to-be new neighborhood.

Awaiting his briefing instructions (little do these people know that HE'S the one in charge!)

Quite possibly Max's favorite thing all evening was waving around Dad's super-bright flashlight.

Max's first ever trick-or-treating house.

He wasn't satisfied with conducting the search and seizure at the door and tried to enter the premises.

Interrogating a subject for more candy leads. "Don't make me smash you."

He didn't anticipate having to battle gigantic spiders in this gig.

Even with all the layers, civilians could still tell that Mom was expecting another commando.

Month 22, Day 12: Brush Brush Brush Your Teeth

Making Grandma California (a retired dentist) proud.

9 Weeks to Go and No Name

I can't remember when we agreed on "Max," but I think it was well before now. We've given a lot of thought to Little Bean's name, as indicated by our very long "no" column. But we still haven't decided on a winner from our "maybe" list. Folks can help by taking the poll on the right. Suggestions are very much welcomed, although there's a good chance it's already in the "no" column!

Month 22: Mastering "Say Cheese"

Max is at his Mama and Papa's house one last time before he becomes a big brother. And he seems to have finally mastered the meaning of "say cheese" as evident by the toothy grins below.

Max also reclaimed his favorite spot during his visit - which is anywhere next to his Papa.

Happy 75th birthday, Papa!
