The Farm Wrap-Up

A big part of the farm visit was hanging out with the family - grandparents, Aunt Jennifer and Uncle Mike, and the cousins. We had an amazing time and look forward to seeing everyone again!
Max was fond of hugging and kissing his second cousin Addalyn.

Tomatoes and Spiderman Kites

Okay, the post title is odd, but it sums up some "first" experiences that the boys had on the farm during their visit: picking tomatoes with Mama (and in Wyatt's case, actually eating one!) and flying a kite with Papa.

And wouldn't you know it, Wyatt snuck away during the kite-flying to wander in the garden and find some more tomatoes. The boy loves dirt!

Tractor Pulls

We've been back from the farm for a while now, but still have a cornucopia of pictures and fond memories. One highlight of the trip was Papa's tractor rides - better than any amusement park. Even Wyatt could barely be torn away from the wagon afterwards.

It's A Zoo Out There

While visiting Mama and Papa, we took the boys to the zoo. Things were not looking good when Max demanded that we go home mid-way through the long drive there, but with a little help from Cousin Carsyn, some goats, and a train ride, Max quickly decided that he loved it. And Wyatt was a good sport too.

Jammin' in the Sand

A significant portion of the boys' time on the farm was spent playing in the sandbox that Papa built for their visit. And what a set-up, complete with a canopy and a mister to keep cool! Max's fun quadrupled when Papa found an old Tonka truck. The gritty sand stuck everywhere and no amount of spraying with the hose would get it off them, but it was worth the mess.

Lil' Farmers

We're back on the farm! It took only a few minutes for Wyatt to stake out his spot on the rocking chair and for Max to get to work on watering the flowers. The days that followed were filled with romps in the corn, popsicles, fireworks, sand box fun, a trip to the zoo, and tractor rides. More to come!
