In a Blink

Our little squirt just turned 6 months yesterday. Time seems to have sped up the second time around. He weighed in at 18 lbs, 7 oz. at his check-up, with a "height" of 26.5 inches. Although Mom keeps thinking he's smaller than Max at that age, Wyatt is actually par for the course. Happy 6-month birthday, baby! Please don't grow up too fast.

Happy 183rd morning!

Working every day and running after two kiddies in the evenings mean that clean clothes sometimes run low. Out come the odd/mix matched outfits, such as these prison-striped pants.
The boys have a love affair with Sophie the Giraffe. She was long forgotten by Max, but now reclaimed by Wyatt, Max often grabs her out of Wyatt's grasp. He's going to have to learn to keep a tigher hold if he expects to compete with Max for toys in this household!

A few days prior, we tried to get a group shot of Mom, Max, and Wyatt. It didn't go over so well.
Max totally uninterested in getting a picture taken.
What a complete goof-ball.
Finally!
Wyatt loves being "gobbled up."

Beating the Heat

It's not even summer, and the heat and humidity have been near unbearable. We picked up a "personal mister" at Home Depot (which has quickly replaced Target as our regular weekend outing) and gave it a whirl one evening when the boys got home from daycare. But instead of a fine, cooling mist, a 20-foot geyser came blasting out of it (the pressure even launched the mister valves into the air). The picture below shows Wyatt's reflexes as he reacted to getting pummeled with water. Dad turned down the water pressure so that Max could have some fun. And have fun, he did. Now it's nearly impossible to get him to come inside!
Active days make for a tired Max. He has some very odd sleeping positions, and this one baffled us. Yes, he was sound asleep for this picture! We were impressed that he managed to cross his legs and balance himself on one foot.
