Max (nearly 8 months) and his friend Aleksei (9.5 months) met up for lunch yesterday. This is the first time that they've been fully aware of each other, and the results were interesting. Leks has a very cute high-pitched squeal that he makes when he's happy. Max, on the other hand, was seemingly terrified by this and would go into a crying fit every time Leks did this. We suspect Leks eventually realized a cause/effect relationship and would squeal "for fun" to see what Max would do. Without fail, Max would start screaming. Weird.
While the only thing Russian about Leks is his name, we were reminded of Reagan-Gorbachev meetings.
Negotiations appeared to break down when President Max disagreed vehemently with President Aleksei on the issue of bailing out the baby food industry.

This is hilarious! I'm mean not the part about poor little Max crying, but the comparison....that's funny. :o)
