Perhaps it was his competitve nature (inherited from Mom and Dad), or perhaps it was about time! After seeing other babies cruise around recently, Max finally learned how to get over his fat leg and "crawl" forward! Today, we witnessed Max make his way across the floor in a gimp-like fashion, not quite using both legs, but still closer to a "real" crawl than any of his prior attempts. We've been told over and over that things will change quickly around the household with a mobile baby. Maybe Dad will actually learn to pick up his stuff around here - Mom can only dream.
Our little quarterback: The weather has turned cooler, so Max donned his football outfit, a baby gift from Josh and Cynthia. He has the uniform, he has the skills (look at that arm!) - he just needs the ball.
Max is having a hard time figuring out that a xylophone is not a wind instrument.
Okay, a couple things...first, YAY Max is crawling! And second, how do you keep him from shoving the entire xylophone stick down his little throat? Leks has the same xylogator and we had to take the stick away from him because he insists on standing and eating the stick at the same time....mom doesn't feel this is safe, while dad believes it will make him tough. :o)
ReplyDeleteAh, that will soon be a problem! Max pulled himself up today on his own, so we're not far from the whole "standing and eating sticks" phase. I believe we (read: mom) will have to also take the mallet away from him. *sigh* Men have such a different perspective.
