Now for Max's first petting zoo. He's not too fond of animals, such as miniature goats, running amok outside their proper cages. And he also preferred to admire ducklings, chicks, and bunnies from afar. [Side comment: You may note an unusual number of Mom-Max pictures below, when typically it's either Max solo or Dad-Max. Max is going through a phase now where only Momma can hold him; anyone else results in lots of crying. Mom's hoping he'll get over this before she gets too big!]

He enjoyed watching the big toddler rides, and even braved a bouncy maze, until bigger kids bumped him over and Stanley's mom had to rescue him. (Thanks, Rachel!)

We have already determined, years in advance, that we will need rotating mom/dad shifts when we take our two boys to amusement parks. It's exhausting, and more so in hot weather!
