Year 1, Day 1: Something is Different

Max was all smiles the morning after his birthday when he realized that he had really joined the ranks of toddlers.

Not only was he one year and one day, but it also snowed!

While watching the snow fall later that morning, Max fell asleep on Dad. Being one is a lot harder than it looks.

Although his birthday was the day before, we postponed opening gifts until Saturday so that Max's grandparents could join in via Skype. Grandma California is on the left, and Mama and Papa Harr are on the the right.

Max looks forward to showing off his spiffy Adidas outfit (from Uncle Mike, Aunt Jennifer, Sydney, and Carsyn) while working out at the gym with Dad.

Just about to open a gift from our good friend Cheryl.

Max is checking out the awesome truck from Mama and Papa Harr. Vroom-room!
Max couldn't even wait to get Aunt Stephanie's gift out of the box before playing with it. It rocks!

Max's dilemma: How can I play with both toys at once?
