Year 1: Max is ONE!

Max's first picture as a one-year old, taken in the early morning hours of December 4.

Because it was Max's birthday, Mom didn't bother to stop Max when he discovered how much fun it is to unroll toilet paper.

Instead of the traditional cake that evening, Mom and Dad heated up a batch of "Monkey Bread." Why? Well, besides the fact that Max is a little monkey, Mom and Dad had this for dessert the night before Max arrived.

Max in the tub about to wash off the incriminating evidence of "Monkey Bread."

As usual, Max likes to drop things (pretty much anywhere).

Here Max is giving Mom an impression of what to expect when her little boy is a teenager.

"I'm HOW old?!"

10.50pm: Mom wishes she could say this was taken at 11.54 pm - the time that Max arrived a year ago. But she was too tired to stay up that late (not to mention she would have to factor in a three hour time difference since Max was born in Stanford, California).

Happy first birthday, sweet Max.

  2. It is so nice to hear from you! I often pine for the new friends that I had made in CA right before we relocated 3,000 miles away. Lousy timing! We hope you are doing well.
